Be Full of God’s Love

“…that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God” (Ephesians 3:17-19).

In Ephesians 3:16-19, Paul talks about four dimensions of God’s love—its breadth, length, depth, and height and prays for the Church to comprehend all these facets. He also lets us know the result of coming to this full understanding of God’s love—we become filled with the fullness of God.

It’s important that we are filled with the fullness of God, for until we’re filled with His fullness, we have nothing supernatural to give the world. You can only give of what you have, and the more you have of a thing, the more of it you can give.

So the question is how deep is your love? How far can your love go? How much can your love give?  How much can it endure?

When your love is so deep and full and wide, you can give more of it and influence many more with it. God has given you His love and the ability to love like Him: “…the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5). Now, you don’t only love those who love you; you love everyone with “agape”—the unconditional love of Christ.

That’s the kind of love that can go to any length, reach the deepest depths or highest height, and cover the widest expanse. That’s the love you received in your heart; function with it.

Prayer

I thank you Father for the rich deposit of your love in my heart by your Spirit! Today, I walk conscious of the fact that I have the ability to love like you; therefore everyone I come in contact with will experience your unconditional love through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
