The Quran didn’t deny that Christ the Lord was not ashamed to come as a servant

Tad Alexandrian

the writer of quran said in Surah Al Nessa 4:172

The Messiah will never be proud to reject to be a slave of Allâh

and that is copying what paul said in Philippians 2:5-7

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not a thing to be grasped to be equal with God But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men

And for those who say he was a man and a servant, we answer them yes christ didn’t not feel ashamed to be servant to the well of God

Then he was not a slave but he became one, he took a form of a slave and became in the likeness of man

In Surah 4:172 we see clearly 2 aspects:

First: Jesus existed before birth

Second: He was never proud to rejec to be slave then he humbled himself from something higher, and that draws us to the conclusion before we was born he was Lord!

The bible teaches us that Jesus Christ is the Word Of God came in flesh and became a man without leaving his divinity without conversion or change or confusion between the two natures the manhood and the Godhood.

We find that in John 1:14

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

And the Quran used the same terminology “The Word of God” in

Surah Al Emran 3:45-49

Behold! the angels said “O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Wordfrom Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah. …And (appoint him) an Messenger to the Children of Israel, I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay as it were the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s leave; and I heal those born blind, and the lepers and I quicken the dead by Allah’s leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe

(Yusuf Ali)

The Quran says that the word of God has a name , he is a visible person and that person is Jesus Christ. And to that name “The Word of God” certain miraculous deeds are given, so only Jesus in the whole history of mankind was given authority to create exactly like God!

Surah Al Nisa 4:171

O people of the Book, be not excessive in your Faith, and do not say about Allah anything but the truth. The Masih ‘Isa, the son of Maryam, is only a Messenger of Allah, and His Word that He had delivered to Maryam, and a spirit from Him.

(Taqi Usmani)

In Ayah 4:171 very clear that Jesus Christ is the exclusive “ Word of God” that existed before birth within God and then delivered to Mary, and even after delivered to Mary the word of God is unlimited stayed in God in the same time while Mary gave birth to the Word of God.

We find that explained punctually in John 1:1-3

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

And this is also the testimony of John the baptist in John 3:31

He that comes from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: he that comes from heaven is above all.

So Jesus Christ the Son of God and this typically means he holds the same nature of God though he manifested in flesh he kept his divinity (hidden), so the divinity in its supremacy did not decrease due to manifestation and in the same time Jesus was a complete man holding the nature of mankind in every accept except for the sinful nature of Adam off-spring and that is why he is without an earthly father

And Christ who came in flesh is not a new invention that suddenly came up with Christianity but prophesied in Torah, psalms and the OT prophets, and following are just few examples from many

Isaiah 42:1-4

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth justice unto truth.

He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he has established justice in the earth: and the coastlands shall wait for his law.

Yes in flesh Jesus Christ the prophesied Messiah the man came humbled himself as the a servant for God the father filled by the Holy spirit to establish Justice by giving himself as a sacrifice for the whole nations

Isaiah 7:14

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

And as we came to this world through birth, God will follow the same rule and also come to this world through birth as written in the book of Hebrews

Hebrews 10:5

Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, Sacrifice and offering you desired not, but a body have you prepared me

Also says in First Timothy 3:16

And without doubt great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

And this Son of Man Jesus meaning holding the nature of mankind is the same that Paul said about him in Colossians 2:9

For in him dwells all the fullness of the Deity bodily.

And in Hebrews 1:3

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power

And more of Isaiah prophesies about him (around 700 BC)

Isaiah 9:6-7

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

And Isaiah through his whole book continue prophesying to us about the Messiah Jesus Christ who is “The great Ransom” that who will do what pleased the Father by saying in

Isaiah 53:10

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, he shall prolong his days, and the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

And this is what Jesus himself said in John 12:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.

And in John 3:17

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Jesus Christ the word of God came to earth and took the the form of a servant to give himself as a redeemer and save us and give us eternal life as a free gift, all what you have to do is to accept his complete work on the cross and this what the scripture teaches us in John 1:12-13

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And also in Romans 8:15-17

For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, so that we may be also glorified together.

And in John 3:36

He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.

Our dear friend if you want to leave the life of slavery, raise your hand in prayer to the one true triune God and from all your heart say:

Lord, I accept you as my father, I give you my love and my heart, I accept Jesus complete work on the cross.

Trust the lord for your salvation knowing that Jesus Christ said in John 15:15

From now on I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
