Keep Making Progress

Keep Making Progress

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great

(Genesis 26:12-13).

Our opening scripture gives us a good glimpse as to the kind of life God has ordained for us: one of consistent progress. Our path in life is as the shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18). This parallels what Apostle John describes in John 1:16, talking about the life of glory and success that we have in Christ: “And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.”

When it says, “grace for grace” it actually means success heaped upon success; glory upon glory: a life of ever-increasing splendour. This is the life that we have in Him; therefore, always see increase. Aspire for more; dare to dream bigger. See yourself birthing new ideas and charting new frontiers; see yourself fruitful and productive in the Kingdom. Some people function at a certain level of productivity and wouldn’t aspire for more until they get tired of that present level. You don’t have to wait until you’re tired; keep advancing; keep making progress.

There’re yet more “lands to conquer”; therefore aspire to go higher. Recall that at Shiloh, Joshua challenged the children of Israel saying, “…For how long will you wait here, while there’s still so much land for you to possess?” (Joshua 18:3). See and apprehend your next levels of success, increase, victory and promotion.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I thank you for the life of increase, dominion, and power that I have in Christ Jesus. My understanding is enlightened today, to comprehend and apprehend my next level of glory, progress, and prosperity; I’m waxing great, making progress and growing exceedingly in divine wisdom,

in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
