To The Throne-room

“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh” (Hebrews 10:19-20).

Back in the Old Testament, no one could enter “the Holy Place” except the high priest, and he could only do so once a year and not without the blood of atonement. But today, you and I live in “the Holy Place” because we live in God’s presence. You don’t need to rely solely on the prayers of others for you, or for any man to go into the presence of God on your behalf. You can make your requests directly to the Father. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

The moment you received Jesus Christ into your heart, you were granted unrestricted access into “the Holy Place,” the very presence of God. You have a right of hearing before the Father; you can talk to Him and fellowship with Him directly.

Hebrews 10:22 says, “Let us go right in to God himself, with true hearts fully trusting him to receive us because we have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean and because our bodies have been washed with pure water” (TLB). This means you don’t have to be afraid or feel condemned anymore.

Your heavenly Father loves you and delights in your prayers (Proverbs 15:8). His eyes are over the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers (1 Peter 3:12).

Prayer

Dear Father,

I thank you for your love and great grace manifested in Christ Jesus. Being justified by faith, I have peace with God through my Lord Jesus Christ, by whom also I have access by faith into this grace wherein in stand, and rejoice in the glory of God,

in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
