Understand The Principles

Understand The Principles

“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding”

(Proverbs 3:13).

Awise farmer wouldn’t just sow his seeds in any ground he sees. He’s aware of the fact that there’re principles to sowing in order to have a good harvest. He knows it’s not every soil that will produce a good harvest and that every climatic condition isn’t favourable to seed germination. Therefore he ensures that his seeds are sown into a well cultivated soil, with all the favourable conditions for germination and growth present.

However, the uninstructed farmer wouldn’t consider any of these, and of course, he would blame everything and everyone but himself when the resulting harvest falls below his expectations. That’s the way some people are. They neglect to follow the right principles in the Word of God and as a result the Word doesn’t produce the expected result in their lives. The Kingdom of God operates by principles, and until you know and employ those principles, your situation will remain the same.

Ignorance of how the Kingdom of God functions has been the bane of many in the Church. For example, what many have learnt (because that’s what they’ve heard taught) about giving offerings and special seeds to God is “Give, so you can have a car, or a house, or even more money….” But the scriptures reveal that there’s more to giving than receiving more money, getting a house or a car as results of your giving.

Yes, there’s a harvest of material blessings that come to you when you give to the Lord, but beyond that, your giving establishes your righteousness and sets you apart to experience the immeasurable blessings of the Spirit in your life.

Moreover, when you understand giving as an opportunity to partner with the Lord in taking the message of salvation to the ends of the earth it will change your approach to the subject of giving. You’ll be the giver described in 2 Corinthians 9:7 AMP:“a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving].”Consequently, you’ll become indispensable to God, for He’ll take pleasure in, prize you above other things, and be unwilling to abandon or do without you.

Prayer

Dear Lord,

thank you for granting me revelations of how the Kingdom functions, and how to apply the right principles of faith and thus experience the profiting of your Word in my life. My spirit is open to receive wisdom and seek understanding that comes only from your Word,

in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
