The Triumphant Life

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life

(1 John 5:11-12 ).

Every living creature is unique in the sense that it belongs to a specific class of life. For example, the plant life is different from the animal life. Also, there’s the human life, which is different from and higher than the plant or animal life. But there’s also the God-life or the God type of life. That’s the life you receive when you’re born again.

It’s the triumphant life. With this life in you, you can neither be defeated nor destroyed. But you must have the knowledge of it and live everyday with the consciousness of this reality.

Biology and Medicine teach that life is transmitted through blood. This is also revealed in the Old Testament, for the Bible says the life of the flesh, is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). But when you’re born again, you cease to live by the blood that flows through your physical body.

So, what, or rather, Who then gives life to the new creation man? It’s the Holy Spirit:“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11). That life is Zoe—the God-life!

If you have this life in you and are conscious of it, sickness, disease and infirmity cannot thrive in your body. That life destroys infection. Understand this, sickness and disease attack the blood, but your life is not dependent on blood if you’re born again:“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13).

Eternal life was imparted to your spirit when you received Christ. The Scriptures declare that if you have the Son of God you have that life. It’s the triumphant life of the new class of beings. That’s the life to which you’ve been called; a life in which you don’t need somebody to pray for you to make you successful or victorious, because success, victory and prosperity are vital parts of the God-kind of life.

As a new creation in Christ, you’re hundred percent divine. Zoë, the very essence of divinity, is what you received when you gave your heart to Christ. Live with this mindset today, and every day.

Prayer

Dear Father,

I thank you for the victorious life you’ve called me into, a triumphant life above sickness, disease, poverty, failure and death. I walk worthy of this calling today, fully taking advantage of the power of divinity at work in me,

in Jesus’ Name.
