Faith, Hope, And Love

Faith, Hope, And Love!
“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity” (1Corinthians 13:13).
The principles of faith, hope, and love are three great principles revealed to us in the Word.Hope is the picture you see afar off; the flicker of light on the horizon on which you must fix your gaze. Many things may try to dissuade you from seeing the picture, but never let go of it. If for some reason, things go blurred and you can’t see it anymore, go back to prayer and confession of the Word, to regain that vision. Remember, hope, the Bible says, makes not ashamed; it doesn’t disappoint us (Romans 5:5 WEB). Once you can see the picture, the next thing to do is to take action.
It’s one thing to look at the picture far away; it’s another thing to take possession of it and bring it into the NOW of your life; that’s faith! Faith is when you take possession of the picture you see afar off through your confessions. The Bible says,“NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]”(Hebrews 11:1AMP). Hope says, “It will be mine,” but faith says, “Ihave it!”
The third of these principles is love, and according to the Bible, it’s the greatest of the three. The reason hope doesn’t disappoint is because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit: “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us”(Romans 5:5). Also, your walk of love secures faith in your heart, for the Bible says faith works by love (Galatians 5:6).
We function with God through love; without love your faith wouldn’t work. Love is the bond of perfection (Colossians 3:14), it never fails and it’s for all time. I love the way the Message Translation renders Colossians 3:14:“And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.”
Confession
I’m not of this world;
I function with the higher principles of life in Zion; the principles of faith, hope and love! My faith is perfected today as I walk in love, with hope as an anchor for my soul! And above all, I put on love and envelop myself with the love of God, which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony.
