CANADA: While Christians are being silenced, Muslim groups get government funding
A proposed law in Canada will result in Christians being muzzled. Meanwhile, Muslim
extremists (including those tied to terrorists) continue to receive taxpayer-funded government contributions.
Clarion Project (ByMP Iqra Khalid — the architect of the divisive anti-free speech M103, the anti-“Islamophobia” motion — announced less than a year ago that the Trudeau Government (due in part to her hard work) would invest $23 million into a multiculturalism program.
The money is an outgrowth of Canada’s M-103 “Systemic racism and religious discrimination” bill that called on the government to “condemn Islamophobia and all forms of systemic racism and religious discrimination.”
The catch: What is this “multiculturalism program?” Much to our horror, the two groups who are among the recipients of the program’s money are groups have been accused of supporting terrorists.
- The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM), the new name of the Canadian branch of CAIR. CAIR was named in 2008 as an unindicted co-conspirator in the “largest terror-funding trial in U.S. history.”
- Islamic Relief Worldwide, an organization which has been designated as a terrorist organization by several countries and which Germany says is joined at the hips to the Muslim Brotherhood.
HSBC bank, based in the United Kingdom, announced in January 2016 that it would close Islamic Relief Worldwide’s accounts and cut all links to it “amid concerns that cash for aid could end up with terrorist groups abroad.” Swiss bank UBS did the samething in 2012. The United Arab Emirates included Islamic Relief Worldwide and Islamic Relief UK on its 2014 list of terrorist organizations. In so doing, the UAE also noted that Islamic Relief Worldwide is a part of the global Muslim Brotherhood.
If the two above pieces of news were not disturbing enough, there is more troubling news: Legislation has been proposed in the Canadian province of Ontario that would criminalize public displays by Christians deemed hateful to Muslims, the LGBT community and other victim groups designated by the Left.
The bill, Prohibiting Hate-Promoting Demonstrations at Queen’s Park Act, 2019, bans any demonstration, rally or other activity on the grounds of the Ontario Legislative Building that is deemed hateful by the Speaker. The word “hateful” is not defined.
What does this mean in practical terms? Muslim extremists can get a free pass to celebrate a hate fest called Al-Quds Day in a public space (see below), while Christians, who are the most persecuted faith in the world today, are muzzled.
Canada cuts off funding to Christian College and Bible Camp but continues to fund a Muslim group—the Islamic Humanitarian Service – whose leader (below) recently spewed hate speech against Jews at an Al Quds Day rally
There is horrendous persecution of Christians and their places of worship in many parts of the Muslim world, yet if this bill passes, it will be illegal to address this publicly in Ontario.
A Canadian citizen (below) was arrested for walking his dog in the Queens Park where they were holding an Al Quds Day rally, solely because Muslims hate dogs.
