Exposing Muslims misquote of Matthew 10:29 to make it look like Jesus promised 100 wives in heaven
Muslims have this meme that misquotes Matthew 19:29 to make it look like as if Jesus is promising his followers an award of 100 wife in heaven, but this is off course a deception, let us examine that false claim in Matthew 19:29
Matthew 19:29
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.
Where here it says we get the 100 times award in eternal life?
The answer is no it did not, it says we get 100 times here on earth and then we also get eternal life
Also though Matthew summarized the awards by saying “a hundred times as much” without any further details, we find that Mark 10:30 explained those awards in details as following
Mark 10:29-30
And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
But he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
So we see two aspects
First: if you left a wife according to Mark 10:29, the 100 times awards in Mark 10:30 intentionally phased out wifes
Second: Mark 10:30 clearly specifics that those awards are not in after life, we will receive here in this world not in eternal life
So why are muslims is doing that fabrication? The answer is in the following link:
