The Creative Word

The Creative Word

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made”

(John 1:1-3).

The Word of God is Himself God. The Bible says “without him was not any thing made that was made.” In Genesis 1, we read that the whole earth was a chaotic mass—formless and empty—nothing was working. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God created the world and made everything beautiful by His Word: “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses…For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast” (Psalms 33:6-9).

God is a “maker”—a creator; and He has made all things by His spoken Word. Just like our heavenly Father, we’re “makers” because we’re born after His kind. We have His material—the Word—at our disposal to make for us whatever we want. The question then is: What do you want to make? Is there any unpleasant situation in your life right now that you’d want to make beautiful; be it in your health, academics, job, finances, or family? The creative Word is in your mouth! All you need do is speak it forth; say what God has said about you concerning that situation and keep saying it until there’s a change.

Jesus said in John 17:14,“I have given them thy word….” That’s the way out of every trouble and dilemma, for with the Word you can walk in unending victory and make your life as beautiful as God intended it to be. Hosea 14:2 says, “Take with you words….” Take a hold of the Word today and make that healing you’ve been praying for a reality. Create that promotion you’ve been expecting for so long; call it forth! Call forth the money you need for your business. Speak God’s Word on that chaotic situation for a change.

Confession

I’m a maker like my heavenly Father. Therefore I refuse to be subject to whatever life hands down to me. Rather I dictate the circumstances of my destiny by speaking words of power. I make my life beautiful with the Word

in the Name of Jesus.
