Our Fellowship With Jesus
“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord”(1 Corinthians 1:9)
It’s amazing to know that we’ve been called into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s the highest calling there is! It would have been wonderful for us just to be His servants or His favoured creatures, but He chose to bring us into oneness with Himself. This is bigger than what the natural mind can conceive, and that’s why some Christians still don’t understand it. It’s not information for the mind, but a revelation for the human spirit to grasp, that we’ve been called unto fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
To be called unto the fellowship of Jesus Christ means we’ve been brought into union with Him. It means we’ve been brought into His class, and now, we’re in partnership with Him and participating in His interests.
There are blessings and benefits that accrue as a result of your fellowship with the Lord. One of them is that anywhere you are in this great world, God knows. He cares for you, He’s concerned about you, and He always has you on His mind. This knowledge will completely change your perception of the world. You’ll understand that the world belongs to you because you’re in fellowship with the Creator of the Universe.
When I see a child of God who’s struggling desperately to get something, I know he’s yet to understand that he’s been brought into fellowship with Jesus Christ. When you understand the rights your fellowship with the Lord confers on you, you won’t be looking for a job for the purpose of making ends meet, but as an opportunity to express what you’ve got in you. When you have this mentality, you’ll become a result-producer, a blesser, a lifter, and a helper, no matter where you work.
The understanding and consciousness of your fellowship with Jesus will help you recognize that your Father is the Monarch of the Universe, and you don’t have to struggle to survive. Instead, you’ll work with gusto, knowing that you’re producing results that will change the world and make it better.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me into fellowship with Your Son Jesus in whom the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily. Thank You Father for I am complete in Christ Jesus Who is Head of all things, for by Him were all things created that are in heaven and in earth. The world belongs to me because I am a Child of the monarch of the universe.
