Astrology: Not For You

Astrology: Not For You!
Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee
(Isaiah 47:13).
There are Christians who see nothing wrong with the use of astrological predictions or the Horoscope for their daily living. They regularly look up their “stars” on magazines and newspaper pages instead of paying attention to God’s Word. This is very wrong!
Our opening scripture shows God’s attitude to astrology. He made it clear that the astrologers, stargazers and fortune tellers wouldn’t be able to save the Jews from the wrath that was imminent on them at the time. Same thing today, you can’t receive any true guidance for your life through astrology.
Astrologers are those who study the arrangements of the celestial bodies—the various planets—and use them to foretell the future. Astrologers actually rob those who patronize them of their relationship with the Spirit of God. As a child of God, your life is not controlled by the planetary arrangements; your life and future are in God.
When you study the scriptures, you’d observe that God gave prophets to the Children of Israel in the Old Testament to give them revelations through the Holy Spirit and through His Word. He leads and guides us today through His Word and His Spirit that lives in us, not through astrological signs or fortune telling. He doesn’t want you to try to look into the future by studying the planetary arrangements to know what your life holds; look into His Word.
Proverbs 4:20 says “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.”It’s important that you realize that everything you’d ever need in life is in the Word, so go for the Word, and not astrology.
Confession
My life is a product of God’s Word; it’s preserved and sustained by the Word. I live by the Word today, therefore I’m like a tree by the stream; I’m bearing fruits, and my leaves are continually green to the glory of God. Hallelujah!
