Offspring Of The Word

Offspring Of The Word
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”
(2 Timothy 3:16).
Our opening scripture enumerates some of the benefits we receive from God’s Word: doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Notice however that the verse only talks about the benefits we get when God’s Word comes to us; it says nothing about the sole purpose of the Word in our lives. What exactly is the Word for and why has God given it to us? The Bible says:“The sower soweth the word”(Mark 4:14); why does God constantly sow His Word in our hearts?
When you plant a corn seed in the ground, it’s for a purpose; it’s because you want a corn harvest. The same thing if you plant an orange seed; it’s because you want an orange harvest. It can therefore be easily deduced that what you desire to have as a harvest can be traced from what you have sowed. God gives us the Word—He sows His Word in our hearts because He wants us to become the Word of God. No religion can ever teach you this reality because it is far removed from religion; it’s too high for the religious mind to grasp.
In John 12:24, the Lord Jesus said:“Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” He was referring to Himself here. He was the Word of God made flesh, and God gave Him to die and come up with a harvest of what was sown—the Word. Furthermore, the Bible tells us how that we were born again by the Word of God:“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
A dog will of necessity give birth to a dog. A human being will give birth to another human. The Word of God will only give birth to the Word! Thus, we’re the offspring of the Word; the Word made flesh in our day. We’re the expression of His will in the earth. Real Christian life is the daily expression of the Word.
Confession
Praise God,
I’m born again! I’m born of the Word and the Spirit of God. Therefore, I’m the manifestation and expression of His will in the earth today. I’m like a tree planted by the streams of water because I live by the Word of God which lives and abides forever.
