He Never Says “No!”

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us”

(2 Corinthians 1:20).

James 5:16 says “… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” The Amplified Version says it “makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working”; and we’re His righteous ones. This is the reason when you pray, Heaven hears, for righteousness gives you a right of hearing with the Father. 

Some people are of the opinion that God sometimes says “No” and then sometimes says “Yes” when we pray. According to them, “If you ask for something, and God doesn’t agree with you, He would say, “No,” and if He agrees, He would say, “Yes.” But that’s a religious idea borne out of ignorance of the scriptures. If you study the scriptures properly, you’ll find that God never says “No.” Our opening verse underscores this truth. It says “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen….” That means “Yes” and “Yes.”

Now what about when you pray outside the will of God? That’s an entirely different subject, because when you pray outside His will, He doesn’t hear you. Therefore, you don’t receive because you ask amiss (James 4:3); He didn’t even hear you, let alone give you an answer. Therefore, He didn’t need to tell you “No” because He didn’t hear you in the first place.

1 John 5:14-15 says, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” To pray according to His will means to pray according to His Word, because God’s Word is His will expressed. Whenever we pray in line with His Word, He hears us; and because we know that He hears us, we’re confident that we have our requests granted.

What a life we have in Christ Jesus! You’ve been brought into a life of continuous victory, where you’re ordained to receive answers to prayers (John 15:16). His divine power has already given unto you everything you require for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).

blessed heavenly Father, for the victorious and glorious life you’ve given me in Christ. My understanding is enlightened to the revelations of your Word today, therefore, I live, conscious of the fact that you hear and answer me always when I pray! What a blessing this is!
